Welcome to the Central Ohio Survivors Center (COSC), a compassionate and inclusive organization dedicated to supporting survivors of torture, civil war, abuse, trauma, violence, and displacement.
At COSC, we understand that healing from trauma is a deeply personal and complex journey. Survivors often face emotional, cultural, social, legal, and practical challenges as they rebuild their lives in a new community. Our role is to walk alongside survivors with dignity, respect, and culturally responsive care.
We provide comprehensive support services, resources, referrals, education, and advocacy to help survivors recover, regain stability, and move toward resilience and empowerment.
Our Mission
Our mission at Central Ohio Survivors Center is to provide a safe, supportive, and culturally sensitive environment for survivors of torture, civil war, abuse, trauma, violence, and displacement to heal, rebuild their lives, and thrive in their new community.
We strive to offer holistic services that address the emotional, social, cultural, and practical needs of survivors while promoting dignity, empowerment, healing, and long-term resilience.
Our Support Services
Central Ohio Survivors Center provides culturally responsive services for individuals and families impacted by trauma, violence, crisis, and community hardship. Our work includes mental health consultation, counseling support, survivor advocacy, community helpline assistance, prevention education, youth and family support, outreach programs, and referrals to trusted community resources.
Our services are designed to help survivors feel safe, heard, supported, and connected.
